Ekali releases Vol. 6 of ‘Awakening’ Mix Series

It has been quite the year for Vancouver-bred artist Ekali. Not only has his put out some incredible music in 2018, such as his ‘Crystal Eyes EP‘ with massive collaborations from Medasin, Yuna, K. Flay & more – but he has also had the heftiest touring schedule of his career yet. Otherwise known as Nathan to his fans, Ekali has also showcased one of his most popular endeavors in the EDM world this year recognized as his ‘Awakening Mix Series.’

Now – a lot of touring and respected artists frequent releasing mixes to keep their fans happy in times of waiting on new music. Nathan, however brings much more to the table than that with his Awakening Series. He is very vocal about showing love to some of the most ‘slept on’ up and comers in the game who otherwise have trouble getting their names out there, despite making incredible music. Using this radio show, he manages to intertwine premiering his own unreleased tunes & collaborations, artists that deserve more recognition, while still supporting all of his long time producer friends that shared in his journey from the early stages as well. The mix shows tends to take you through a journey of bright and dark, melodic and scary, high and low with flawless execution. It pulls you in immensely, making it difficult to hit the stop button once it begins.

His music is one incredible story of its own, but Ekali shows why his performances have continued to sell out for the majority of 2018. This well-crafted series should be on everyones day-to-day playlists if you enjoy beautiful soundscapes, discovering new music & being taken on a journey through sound.
