David Guetta 2018

Jack Back – Grenade

In a year packed with drama, one of the most surprising moments in dance music – aside from the return of Swedish House Mafia, and death of Avicii – came from David Guetta, who showcased new music under his Jack Back alias. A deep and atmospheric moniker designed to give Guetta the freedom over more underground-leaning releases, Jack Back soon garnered widespread acclaim on account of the moody deep-house and techno-flavoured tones that featured on the mixtape, which accompanied Guetta’s latest studio album, ‘7’.

Having released music on iconic house label DEFECTED already, Jack Back returns, and this time, his track has been snapped up by iconic UK artist Mark Knight. With Knight signing ‘Grenade’ to his legendary Toolroom Records imprint, the track is out now, and showcases the rich club-ready influences of Guetta, who is sure to continue making huge waves in 2019. Making the switch over from an established career in sports journalism to the world of dance music in 2016, Jake Gable has cemented a spot as one of the industry's most in-demand names during his tenure to date. Working on highly successful press campaigns for the likes of Tiësto, MK, and many more during his time at one of London's most premiere PR outfits, Gable has also proved his hand as a skilled journalist, interviewing acts such as Oliver Heldens, Martin Solveig, NERVO, and many more at international events like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Working tirelessly as the CEO & Founder of UK company The EVENT, Gable also doubles up as a tour manager, playlist curator, dance music influencer, and DJ, under his JK-GBL alias. Further adding strings to his bow as a freelance copywriter - where he has worked for numerous iconic artists such as Axwell, and labels, such as Third Party's Release Records - Gable is best known for producing two of the biggest editorials in We Rave You history; The first a breaking news story on Swedish House Mafia's return at Miami's Ultra Music Festival in 2018 (a world exclusive), and the second titled 'Avicii: The Truth...', an inquest into the EDM star's passing, published less than 24 hours after his death.
