Armin van Buuren lets fans curate landmark ASOT 900 episode

A concurrent legacy that runs aside Dance music’s growth and dominance in the entertainment industry, Armin van Buuren‘s legendary ‘A State of Trance’ radio show looks set to set new records. A journey that started as early as 2001, the ASOT radio show took very little time to become a staple, a necessity even, in every Trance listener’s lifestyle. Just last Thursday, the iconic radio show completed 900 scintillating episodes, each brimming with energizing and emotional Trance tracks. And in a practice that looks on its way to become normative, Armin took the opportunity to give back to the fans by letting them curate the tracks for this landmark episode.

The live-streamed episode began in traditional fashion, with Armin introducing the ASOT studio and the legendary Ruben de Ronde by his side. The live-stream then featured fans from world over, requesting their favorites and sharing a heartfelt message via recorded videos. What perhaps stood out about it being a solely fan curated episode was that the quality of tracks was supreme and hits from 2001 and current chart toppers found a similar playing ground as fans wished for the memorable melodies. All in all, a wonderful achievement for the ASOT family and of course, all eyes are set on course for the 1000th episode.
