Having taken the charts by storm over the last few years, The Chainsmokers continue to dominate the industry. The American power-duo have collaborated with a number of artists throughout their career, from Coldplay to Halsey. With so many high-profile collaborations under their belts, expectations were incredibly high surrounding the duo’s next move. Now, The Chainsmokers have taken to Twitter to reveal that their new collaboration will be with American rock band, Blink-182.

Sharing their happiness about the collaboration, The Chainsmokers took to Twitter to state:

“Just did a session with blink182 and wrote an amazing song. We can die happy now”

Naturally, the tweet provoked a huge reaction from both The Chainsmokers’ and Blink-182’s loyal fanbases. Blink-182 vocalist Mark Hoppus had this to say about the collaboration:

“We’ve been friends with them for a few years and have tried to collaborate a bunch of different times, but today our schedules aligned and we were all in the same room at the same time.”

As expected, the announcement has resulted in a great deal of speculation around how the finished product may sound. Nobody knows any further details at this point, but what can be expected is that the collaboration will take the charts by storm and become one of the most-played tracks of 2019.
