Future House king Don Diablo just keeps on dropping amazing remixes this month. A few weeks ago, the Hexagon Records owner surprised his fans already with two phenomenal reworked versions, ‘High Hopes’ by Panic! At The Disco and ‘King Of My Castle’ by Keanu Silva, but third time lucky for the popular Dutchman. When Mark Ronson asked Don Diablo to work his magic on the Brit’s collab with Miley Cyrus ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, he didn’t hesitate for a moment.
The original version of Ronson & Cyrus’ hit – a beautiful pop ballad – was released in November of 2018. Two months after it spiralled to the top of the charts worldwide, it now receives a fresh Future House treatment by one of the best DJs/producers of the genre. Don Diablo commented on his social media channels by saying how honored he feels about Mark Ronson’s request for the remix:
“January is a HUGE month guys! I really wanted to start the year off with a blast, so I have another surprise for you. I got asked to remix this huge Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus song which was simply impossible to resist. I really tried to switch the song around so I hope you like what I did with it and play it as loud as possible at home, in your car or at your family in law’s yearly birthday party.”
Don Diablo’s take on ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’ starts off nicely dark, deep and somewhat mysterious, perfectly matching Miley Cyrus’ haunting vocals. The song is about a couple’s love that has gone cold, but as soon as the highly danceable drop kicks in, we all forget about that sadness and start running to the dancefloor. It proves that nothing fixes a broken heart like music, Don Diablo’s music in particular.
