Axwell unleashes fresh music during BBC Radio 1 mini-mix

“In the beginning there was house, in the end there was house. And in the middle… There was Axwell.”

The iconic quote, from Axwell himself, has never seemed more appropriate. Delivering a stunning 5-minute mini-mix for Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 on Friday night, the Swedish maestro fused a number of his all-time classics, including ‘I Found U’, with more modern hits like ‘Nobody Else‘ in what was a welcome return to a more pure house sound for the Swedish House Mafia producer and DJ.

Having flirted with various sub-genres of EDM and bass music during his Axwell Λ Ingrosso sets in recent years, this mini-mix took things back to the electro-tinged sound that first propelled Ax into the spotlight all those years ago. Also included in the mix was a fresh selection on future hits from his Axtone Records label, including whoppers from Chocolate Puma, and British rising-talent, D.O.D.
