Nothing goes more hand in hand then Belgian festival giant Tomorrowland and Belgian DJ duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Traditionally, the two brothers always get a set during prime time at ID&T’s festival. The ever first edition of Tomorrowland Winter in the French Alps was no exception to it. Amongst other big names like Afrojack, DJ Snake, and current number 1 DJ in the world, Martin Garrix, the two Belgian partied like there is no tomorrow.
Dimitrios Anastasios and Michael Karl Thivaios, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s real names, started off their set at the brand new and magnificent Tomorrowland Winter Mainstage with a never before heard Intro ID that set the scene of what was about to unfold: A full hour of Madness. To keep the energy high, the brothers continued with banger after banger, ‘The Hum’ was amongst them, one of DV&LM’s most famous track together with Ummet Ozcan. In order to celebrate one of their latest releases ‘Repeat After Me’, the duo brought one collaborator on the stage: Trance Legend Armin Van Buuren. Traditionally, Tomorrowland sets are always the place to premiere brand new songs. And so did DVLM: The played a total of 5 ned IDs in the 55-minute set. Their 2017 mega-track ‘Crowd Control’ together with Big Room maestros W&W was still a part of their set and made the alps shake on Saturday night.
To finish off that night in style, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike prepared a special mash-up, fueled with Gigi D’Agostinos’s classic ‘L’Amour Toujours’, Hardwell’s ‘Countdown’ and Ran-D’s Hardstyle masterpiece ‘Zombie’. It was a clear demonstration of what the brothers have planned for 2019: Going harder and faster all year long! For now, check out their mainstage set at Tomorrowland Winter below and prepare for the madness that will come your way!
