Defqon.1 Australia cancelled

Australia’s biggest Hard Dance event; Defqon.1 has been postponed indefinitely. Despite organisers’ best efforts, the news comes after the Sydney International Regatta Centre and their affiliates withdrew their support from the festival. Having taken place in Penrith since 2009, Defqon.1 brought in the world’s best Hard Dance acts to Australian shores, consistently giving the fans down under their annual fix of Hard Dance music.

In a statement coming from the event’s official Facebook page, organisers wanted to thanks all patrons, staff and ambassadors involved in the event’s 10-year tenure:

“To our fans, Ambassadors, and everyone else that has contributed to the incredible memories we created for the past 10 years: from the depths of our orange heart we would like to thank all of you for your ongoing support, dedication, and for creating the most epic family imaginable.”

While it is currently unclear if, where and/or when the event will return, organisers have vowed to do their utmost to secure a new location. Check out the full statement below and be sure to keep up with all Defqon news here.
