Setbacks for Swedish House Mafia fans travelling to Stockholm as SAS Pilots Strike

Home Uncategorized Setbacks for Swedish House Mafia fans travelling to Stockholm as SAS Pilots Strike

Thousands of Swedish House Mafia fans could be left stranded in Sweden this weekend due to the recent Scandinavian AirlinesĀ (SAS) strikes. Last week, the airline, cancelled over 600 flights on Friday alone and cancelled more than 1,200 flights this week across Monday and Tuesday combined. It appears that negotiations between the airline and its pilots have broken down, which suggests there could be more cancellations to come as no resolution seems evident.

The worrying news comes as Swedish House Mafia are set to kickstart their world tour with 3 performances at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm this coming weekend. The strikes are threating roughly 35,000 fans who are scheduled to arrive in Stockholm from abroadĀ to see the accomplished trio. In order to provoke some kind of action, Steve Angello has taken to Instagram to voice his frustrations:

“To whom it may concern at SAS […] I would appreciate it if you could take care of your business with your pilots and staff. I know its a big ask but in the end of the day you should take care of your own like we take care of ours. No pressure. Much love. S-A”

If you are one of the lucky 35,000 and are travelling on a SAS operated flight, please be sure to check their flight disruption website for the latest information regarding your flights. Please note that flights operated by SAS partners are NOT involved.
