Avicii’s father speaks out about the Tim Bergling Foundation

The death of Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, is still fresh and painful in the mind of the entire world. Shortly following the one year anniversary of the tragic death – and before the full length album “TIM” was unleashed – Avicii’s parents announced the startup of a foundation in Avicii’s name. The aim of the foundation is to keep his memory alive through putting in work to help prevent suicide and mental illness and doing environmental work among other work.

In an exclusive interview with Billboard, Avicii’s father Klas Bergling spoke more about the Tim Bergling Foundation in depth. Talking about what the foundation hopes to achieve, Klas Bergling stated that he sees this as the starting year and is currently in works to identify suitable organizations to work with to help achieve their goals but aren’t actively seeking out money (but will accept and welcome donations) and want to see noticeable results in their efforts. Avicii’s charitable history was also talked about, stating that he cared massively about animals and the environment which is why the Tim Bergling Foundation will also focus on that aspect.
