Axwell cancels solo Electric Love set

A solo Axwell set isn’t easy to come by nowadays. Usually finding him at Axwell/\Ingrosso or more recently, Swedish House Mafia sets, this leaves little room for solo sets for any of the Swedes but when they happen they’re a treat. This means that the news came as a huge surprise when Axwell suddenly cancelled his set at Electric Love festival in Austria.

Due to play the festival on July 5 during the first day, it was Axwell’s management that reached out to Electric Love and broke the news. Interestingly enough, a solid reason was not given for the cancellation, instead citing ‘unforeseen circumstances’. Unforeseen circumstances stopped Swedish House Mafia performing their closing set at Ultra Korea so questions are already being raised wondering if these circumstances are linked in any way, sending the rumour mill into overdrive once again.

In a statement, the festival wrote:

“Lovers a sad message reached us from Axwells management. “… due to unforeseen circumstances Axwell will not be able to perform at the Electric Love Festival.” He canceled the show very unexpected but we’re already working hard to find a replacement for tomorrow.”

Working hard to find a replacement, they found one in the form of American producer KSHMR.
