Dyro – Free (feat. Nigel Hey & Babet)

Jordy van Egmond, better known by his stage name Dyro, might be young – but what he lacks in age, makes up with his experience. His journey began in the music industry in 2010, when he was only 18 years old – discovered by Laidback Luke. Shortly after, he was signed to Hardwell‘s imprint, Revealed Recordings, and started producing collaborations with huge names like Tiësto, Hardwell, Bassjackers, Loopers and more recently alongside Martin Garrix, with their track Latency hitting more than 11 million views on YouTube to this day. Dyro is back with something new on Martin Garrix’s STMPD Records, titled ‘Free‘.

The Dutch producer, who was crowned #27 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll 2014 and 2015, loves to experiment with different styles. Recently, he was asked about his style, and he described it as:

“It’s always shifting and I feel like right now, I’ve made a full circle where the music I became known by is what I’m making again. I’ve started with big house music, then I went into harder electro, which started going pretty dark. Later on, my tracks were more influenced by trap and dubstep and now I’m making happy music again.”

His is currently signed at STMPD Records, and yesterday his brand new single ‘Free‘ was released featuring Nigel Hey & Babet. The track is a bit out of the ordinary as it focuses more on the vocals – that compliment the killer melody and powerful drops perfectly.

And for our excitement, as he took time off from touring from January till May to focus solely on producing new music, we can stay tuned for many more Dyro track seeing the light of day very soon! But for now, let’s enjoy ‘Free’:
