Final Avicii release ‘AVĪCI (01) EP’ turns 2 years old

He was perhaps the most influential DJ of all time, and certainly the most iconic figure in the history of EDM. We are, of course, referring to Avicii (aka Tim Berling), the hugely popular Swedish musician who sadly passed away in April 2018. And on this day in 2017 – little did we know then – the final ever Avicii release before his death, was launched, in the shape of the AVICI EP.

The 6-track release included tracks such as ‘Friend of Mine‘ with Vargas & Lagola, ‘What Would I Change It To’ alongside AlunaGeorge, commercial hit ‘Lonely Together’ with Rita Ora, and the firm fan’s favourite ‘Without You’ (feat. Sandro Cavazza), which Tim opened with during his sets at EDC UK and Creamfields 2016.

After the death of Avicii in 2018, the ‘TIM‘ album was released in June 2019, but for many, the AVICI EP is considered the final 100% authentic work of Avicii before his passing, and now, the EP turns 2 years old. You can relive it in full below as we remind ourselves of the truly genius nature of the one and only, Avicii.
