Lost Frequencies – Sun Is Shining

Belgian hit-maker Felix De Laet, better known as Lost Frequencies, is back with another deep house track ‘Sun Is Shining’, just released on his Found Frequencies label. It is his third single of 2019, following ‘Recognise’ featuring Flynn and ‘Truth Never Lies’ featuring American singer Aloe Blacc. So far, Felix had a great summer, headlining major venues all around the world, including one of the biggest music festivals out there – Tomorrowland.

‘Sun Is Shining’ is a very uplifting track, with a catchy melody and even catchier lyrics. It starts out with a gentle guitar riff and emotional vocals. It then slowly progresses into a cheerful, upbeat rhythm, with piano synths that will without a doubt make you dance. Overall the track is very positive, groovy, has that summer vibe and is set to be another chart-topper.

On his Instagram profile, Lost Frequencies shared a little behind the scenes clip, of how he came up with the song and the process of how it was made. He says that he first heard the original track by JJ Grey & Mofro ‘The Sun Is Shining Down’, over a year ago in the series House of Cards, season 3, episode 13 and he loved it, so he decided to sample it and make his own version of it. He was working with a UK-based company, that made it possible to make a completely new production of it, and his little brother, who contributed a lot, playing the keyboard solo. Felix describes it as groovy, good vibes, sunny, fun track, that he really enjoyed making and explains that it is different from the version that he plays in his sets and that fans can expect the other version in the upcoming weeks.

The official music video for the track has also been released already and it suits the vibe perfectly. We can expect a lot more from Felix this year, so make sure to catch him for one of his live shows or DJ sets in the upcoming months.
