When a song becomes know as a timeless classic, or has the legend status stamped all over it, it doesn’t matter how old it becomes as it is still as fresh and unique as it was at the time of it’s release and someone who knows this all too well is Steve Angello. Responsible for some of the most important progressive tracks during the time when Swedish House Mafia were disbanded, his solo career took off in a huge way. Being able to go off and find his signature sound, which was quite darker, Angello cranked out hit after hit and one of the stand-out tracks was ‘SLVR’.
Collaborating with Russia’s very own producer duo Matisse & Sadko, the track marked an extremely important milestone, not just for the artists but Steve Angello founded record label Size as it was the 100th release for the label and also marked the 10th anniversary at the time, making ‘SLVR’ extra special. Overflowing with energy and heavy-hitting beats, the track had the markings of a timeless classic since the day it was released which is evident from the crowd roars when it is dropped in sets to this day, proving that it’s almost impossible to grow tired of this special track.
