Home Uncategorized Avicii Tribute concert in Stockholm sold out in 30 minutes

It’s been more than a year after Avicii‘s unfortunate passing but the dance music community still holds the Swedish superstar DJ and producer in all honour. After being announced on Wednesday, ticket sales for the Avicii tribute concert on December 5th in Stockholms Friends Arena, started yesterday and sold out within 30 minutes from being on sale.

The concert is organized by the ‘Tim Berglin Foundation‘, a charity created by Avicii’s parents; Klas Bergling and Anke Lidén, after the passing of their son, to raise awareness and remove the stigma attached to mental health issues discussions. All proceeds will go towards the foundation, in addition to the proceeds from future Avicii projects and the release of the posthumous album Tim.

The concert will include live DJ sets by David Guetta, Kygo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Laidback Luke, and Nicky Romero along with live performances by Adam Lambert, Aloe Blacc, Rita Ora, Otto Knows, Vargas & Lagola, to name a few. Along with the artists named already, there are more to be announced, so there’s a good chance to see more known names to perform. All info about the Avicii Tribute Concert, including the lineup and information about the foundation, can be found on its website.

It is great to see that Avicii’s friends and artists he collaborated with are working towards a common goal and that the music industry, artists and fans, hold together. Always remember, you’re never alone and if you or someone you know is experiencing mental health issues, please contact your country’s suicide prevention hotline.
