REZZ digs deep with her debut Essential Mix
REZZ has joined a long list of some of the worlds most exceptional DJ’s, having just blessed us with a very special debut Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1. Having teased at the opportunity about a month ago, she is one of the rising stars who completely deserve the airtime at the BBC – with catching the eye of many in the industry, drawing in fans from world over with her hypnotizing mid-tempo sound and psychedelic aesthetic.
The 24-year-old wasted no time in displaying the very finest of her work throughout an intense, 2-hour mix consisting only of released REZZ tracks and remixes. Her most popular tracks were featured for all to hear but not before she drew upon some of the more gritty records from a stellar discography. Many of the tracks from her recent “Beyond the Senses” EP emerged in the mix, including “Dark Age”, “Stress” ft. EDDIE and “Kiss of Death” ft. Deathpact. With a significant amount of freshly released music at her creative disposal, it came as little to no surprise that the essential mix failed to include even a single ‘ID-ed’ track. Regardless, the mix is still simply scintillating and has provided her with a platform with which she can grow her sound and fan base further in the UK.
Not only did she feature on the Essential Mix roster, the Canadian also managed to put a stellar show for her first appearance at Creamfields. Grafting hard to make her mark in the scene, Rezz has come a long way ever since being featured in Deadmau5’s own Essential Mix back in 2017.
