Norwegian producer Alan Walker has teamed up with the young Ibiza-Born singer Au/Ra to present their brand new track called Ghost. The record, which is coming out this Friday on Loudmouth Music, will also be one of the songs included into the Death Stranding video game compilation called Death Stranding: Timefall.

This mentioned album will also feature songs from other great electronic music artists including Major Lazer, with a collaboration with Khalid called ‘Trigger‘, and CHVRCHES, who are responsible for the first and title track ‘Death Stranding‘. It will be coming out and be available on November 7th via RCA Records and Sony Interactive Entertainment ahead of the release of the official video game the day after.

The reason why the Japanese game developers trusted Alan Walker and Au/Ra to feature their special soundtrack is not something casual. The abilities from both artists are undeniable and this record is the ultimate proof of that. ‘Ghost‘ is a pure commercial trap track that perfectly showcases the producer and singer’s unique abilities that brought them to the main gates of the electronic music scene. Taking a more commercial approach and distancing himself from his classic future bass sounds, Alan Walker still finds a way to adapt his style delivering a very solid production. He creates a rhythmic and melodic bass filling it with a more tragic and alarming sound that becomes the perfect companion for the deep vocals from Au/Ra. Just as she did in other projects like ‘Panic Room‘ with CamelPhat, the Antiguan singer takes the lead role to impact the listener with her voice and set the tone of the song.

Overall it is a great track that can perfectly fit in a video game like Death Stranding. We’re seeing a different side of Alan Walker that successfully provides a song that, even distanced from his stamp sound, compiles with the final goal and lives up to the expectation.
