Congratulations are in order for David Guetta. The champion DJ and producer has just finished his impressive 2019 Ibiza season, and it’s been bigger than ever. David Guetta is a staple act for the party island during its busy season and has been so for years upon years, consistently surprising his audiences of thousands of fans each week who travel from all over to world just to see him do what he does best. For the 2019 Ibiza season, Guetta went above and beyond and did not one but two different residencies. Showcasing his talents with BIG at Ushuaïa and F*** Me I’m Famous! at Hï Ibiza, he also made his Ibiza debut with his moniker Jack Back for multiple weekly shows. All in all, he’s been an extremely busy man when around Ibiza.
Unfortunately though, all good things must come to an end and this means Guetta’s residencies for the year. Officially closing up, he played his last Ushuaïa show on 30 September and his last Hï Ibiza show on 4 October. Solidifying his status as the isle’s best selling artist and what’s more is that the fans who were lucky enough to see him at either club this year got a spectacular last bite of the cake. Not only did he put on a jaw-dropping show, but he brought some extra special friends along for the ride. At BIG, acts such as Don Diablo, Oliver Heldens, Alesso and even The Chainsmokers shared the stage whilst over at F*** Me I’m Famous!, Afrojack, Robin Schulz, Lost Frequencies and more warmed the crowds up expertly.
Another thing that was equally impressive as Guetta’s energy over the 18 weeks was the production. On the F*** Me I’m Famous! side, he brought one of the most technologically-advanced productions that Hï Ibiza has ever seen. Over at BIG, the outdoor style of Ushuaïa gave room for a massive amount of creative freedom and that was shown throughout the sheer detail that was put into everything from the performers to the fireworks and the on-screen visuals.
Once again, David Guetta has proved why he is the leader of the pack, and we can’t wait to see him return to the famous party isle again soon!
