Don Diablo – Congratulations (ft. Brando)

Dutch future house phenomenon Don Diablo is back with another banger, ‘Congratulations’ featuring American singer and songwriter Brando, best known for his work on Loud Luxury‘s hit ‘Body’, just dropped on Armada. It carries a fresh, more chilled sound than usual, but we are more than pleased with the final outcome of the collaboration. The past year has definitely been huge for Don Diablo with various successful releases like ‘You’re Not Alone’ with Kiiara and ‘Brave’ featuring Jessie J, remixes for some of the biggest names of the music industry, like his remix for ‘Nothing Breaks Like a Heart’ by Miley Cyrus and ‘Sixteen’ by Ellie Goulding, securing the #6 spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll of 2019 and touring all around the world.

Here is what Don says about his newest track:

“I wrote ‘Congratulations’ in a moment of reflection while I was recording parts of my upcoming ‘FOREVER’ album in Los Angeles. Most of my life, I have been working every single day towards an invisible goal that sometimes seems unreachable. There are days when nothing you do seems good enough and the weight on your shoulders gets heavier and heavier. Sometimes you need to look at your life from a helicopter view so you can see all the amazing things that have happened in your past. It will make you enjoy your future even more. This song is about congratulating yourself, which, in essence, in something you should be doing as often as you can. I am super excited I got to work on the song with the supremely talented Brando, whose vocals are the perfect fit for the story I wanted to tell.”

‘Congratulations’ is a very catchy, uplifting track, that still has the signature Don’s sound, but in a calmer way. It brings back that summery festive feeling with its rhythmic synths and amazing Brando’s vocals. It’s the kind of track you would warm up to on the dancefloor, or bop along when you hear it on the radio. Definitely another masterpiece by the Dutch producer that is set to be a hit.
