Sensation in Amsterdam, an indoor festival created by ID&T, the same organizers that are behind Tomorrowland as well saw its first edition in 2000. After the announcement that the last edition will be held in 2017, it was clear that an era has come to an end and people travelled from across every corner of the world to say farewell. Since its inception Sensation had been held in the Amsterdam Arena, which has now been renamed to Johan Cruijff Arena and expanded into different countries and cities around the world since 2005. Previously it was also differentiated in Sensation White, focusing initially on trance and later on house and Sensation Black, which focused on harder styles and more underground sound, that was then renamed to BLACK. While the event in Amsterdam had come to an end, ID&T continued holding Sensation events across the globe.

Today, ID&T announced ‘a new journey’, named ‘Sensation ‘Beyond”. The event is set to take place on July 4th, 2020 in the same location, the Johann Cruijff Arena, where previous Sensation events have been held and many other events, like Armin van Buuren’s ‘This Is Me’ shows or Amsterdam Music Festival is taking place.

Along with the announcement a teaser video has been posted reflecting on the past events in Amsterdam, that they lived the dream they had and that it would now be time to go ‘beyond’ (their dream maybe?).

Pre-registration for the event is now open on their website which will give you the chance to purchase tickets during the pre-sale on February 10th, 2020, exclusively for registered patrons. Hotel packages will go on sale on December 16th, 2019. Check out the announcement below and, there’s already a Facebook event that you can mark yourself interested in if you want to be kept up to date.
