Above & Beyond have released a lot of tunes and albums over the course of their career. With a discography that’s larger than a lot of artists in the electronic scene, the trio have always maintained a high quality level when it comes to releasing new music and have never levelled down or compromised their euphoric, feel-good sound that so many people all over the world have come to know and love. One particular album that holds a very special place in the hearts of many fans is the very special ‘We Are All We Need’ album. Turning 5 years old, now is a great time to revisit it and see what impact it made on the lives of many.

Becoming the third studio album to be released by Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki, it featured the first new material since Group Therapy and although it was the first album to not feature any collaborations with Richard Bedford, it had featured other long-time collaborators for soulful and euphoric vocals. Having received a great critical reception, it struck a chord with the fans and it didn’t feel like just another album release but rather a whole movement, giving fans new songs to scream out loud to at Above & Beyond sets.

Having a hand in writing and producing all the tracks, their hard work was rewarded when the album hit the number one spot on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums Billboard chart and number 12 on the UK Albums chart becoming their highest charting album so far. The 16-track spectacle had eight official single releases leading up to the full release and continuing on after the release up to 4 September 2015 with ‘Fly to New York’.

It’s an album that has touched all of our hearts and will not be forgotten any time soon, no matter how many releases have come after it and are yet to come. What’s your favourite track from this album? Let us know in the comments as you revisit it all below.
