Calvin Harris reveals details of new project coming soon
It’s been a hot second since we’ve all heard new stuff from Calvin Harris, but it doesn’t stop him from still being one of the biggest and most relevant electronic artists around. Coming back to the festival circuit in 2019 with a bang and a fresh new stage design, he’s been welcomed with open arms and big crowds. His time spent not releasing new music wasn’t wasted though, as back in November of 2019 we reported on the fact that the Scottish superstar had been hard at work in the studio (with his new Mac Pro) and it seems like he’s now ready to share it all with the world.
Taking to his social media pages earlier, Calvin Harris has unveiled his brand new musical project. Seemingly taking an entirely new direction by the looks and titles of the cover art and tracks, he says that this is only the start. Two tracks will be released worldwide on January 24, titled Hypnagogic (I Can’t Wait)’ and ‘CP-1’ and both seem very different than what we’re used to seeing from him. Interestingly enough, there’s another title on the cover art which is ‘Love Regenerator’. We are currently unclear of what this is the title for, but an album or general project title seems to be the best bet right now.
Stating that new music will be his focus throughout this year, we can expect even more new releases ahead of his Coachella performance in April. Everyone knows that Calvin loves to explore genres, and is one of the most versatile producers around, and this new project seems to be a great example of his genre-hopping tendencies.
