MDL Beast Festival receives Guinness World Record for tallest temporary stage
MDL Beast Festival has just received a Guinness World Record for the tallest temporary stage in its debut year, and that is only just a small morsel into the innovative accomplishments the festival has achieved in its first year.
MDL Beast is the first major music and arts festival held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which debuted on December 19th and ended December 21st, 2019. The massive festival hosted roughly 400,000 attendees throughout the weekend and was filled to the brim with astounding performances from local acts as well as big-name headliners.
MDL Beast took a standard festival and made sure to turn things up a notch on overall experience from culture, to arts, to music. The festival had a total of five stages, each with its own drawing thousands of festival-goers. The main stage took on acts such as Salvatore Ganacci, Tiësto, and Martin Garrix, while the “smaller” stages held local Saudi Arabian acts such as Dish Dash, Vinyl Mode, and Shisma. The festival also incorporated a stage called Down Beast that was described as a more intimate crowd and also allowed for a “calm” atmosphere among the masses.
DJ Ahmed Alammary, a member of the festival teams’ event staff said the following regarding the ground-breaking festival,
“MDL Beast is more than just a festival. Empowered by innovation and technology in live entertainment, MDL Beast is also a platform with multiple objectives including ongoing seasonal local and global events, online and radio channels, recording studios, and a non-profit foundation promoting music education and therapy. We’re confident MDL Beast will be like nothing seen before and we cannot wait to experience this transformative musical milestone.”
While the festival hasn’t formally announced whether MDL Beast Festival will come back in 2020, you can check out their website for all the updates here.
