A new Progressive House reimagination: Anjunadeep shares a remix by Cristoph of Eli & Fur’s “Last Train”

The popular record label Anjunadeep recently released a remix by Cristoph of Eli & Fur‘s “Last Train”. The production of the girls has received a very interesting Progressive House rework, which is sure to please fans of the genre and listeners of Cristoph alike.

Christopher Costigan AKA Cristoph, is a progressive house DJ and producer from Newcastle upon Tyne, whose family is also heavily involved in DJing, as his father and older brother both had careers in the industry. In his career so far, he has had the pleasure of working with the hugely successful Eric Prydz and has released songs on labels such as Bedrock, Last Night On Earth, Truesoul, Knee Deep in Sound, and Anjunadeep. The latter has become the home of his latest remix, a re-work of the closing track “Last Train” from the recently released album (“Follow The Dark – Part II”) by London DJ and producer duo Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman, aka Eli & Fur. Several songs on the girls’ album have been remixed, including one by Cristoph.

“‘Where I Find My Mind’, ‘Temptation’, ‘Last Train’ and ‘Where Do We Go From Here’, are now reworked by Cristoph, Rezident, Maxinne, Velero, Sam Luck, Hugo Cantarra and Eli & Fur themselves.”, added the label, Anjunadeep.

From this bunch of remixes, an album has been created, starting with Christoph’s reimagination of “Last Train”, a positive mood remix infused with piano sounds, perfectly transporting the original vocals into a progressive house masterpiece. Christop’s rework and the remix album in a nutshell were released together on 22 August 2023 on Ajunadeep, almost three months after the original album was released in May. This new release is definitely a loveable version of “Last Train” originally by Eli & Fur, and definitely worth a listen. Check it out below:
