For over 20 years, it has welcomed hundreds of thousands of People of Tomorrow to its magnificent wonderland, showcasing electronic music’s brightest stars in the heart of Boom, Belgium. ‘We Are Tomorrow’ encapsulates the very essence of Tomorrowland and the global community it has nurtured throughout its remarkable journey.

‘We Are Tomorrow,’ directed by Wim Bonte, is a 30-minute cinematic odyssey that tells the stories of Alok, a renowned Brazilian DJ and producer, two Ukrainian refugees, Veronika and Mykola, who volunteered at the festival, Carlos from Peru, who discovered love in Belgium, and Alwyn from India, who introduced his sister to the adventure for the first time. Each protagonist shares their personal connection to Tomorrowland, interwoven with breathtaking footage from the festival. This documentary transcends the boundaries of music, culture, and emotion, allowing viewers an up-close and personal experience of the iconic music festival from the comfort of their homes.

Meet the Stars of ‘We Are Tomorrow’

Alok: Alok, a Brazilian DJ and producer, made his Tomorrowland debut in 2015 and has since become an integral part of the Tomorrowland family. He hosts his monthly residency ‘Alok Infinite Experience’ on Tomorrowland’s official radio station, One World Radio. Alok’s roots in electronic music run deep, as both his parents were DJs and pioneers of psytrance music in Brazil. Playing on Tomorrowland’s iconic Mainstage holds a special place in his heart, confirming his unwavering commitment to his musical journey.

Carlos: Carlos, a 29-year-old from Peru, discovered Tomorrowland through its aftermovie and attended Tomorrowland Brasil in 2015 with his best friend, Elisabeth. Tomorrowland 2022 proved to be transformative for Carlos, helping him overcome personal struggles, including the loss of his grandmother and depression. He found love in Belgium with Kurt, an Antwerp architect, and made lifelong friends at the festival. Carlos’s heartfelt journey reflects the transformative power of Tomorrowland in his life.

Alwyn: Hailing from Mumbai, India, Alwyn’s Tomorrowland adventure began in 2014 after enduring financial setbacks, including a divorce. As a chef in Australia, he fulfilled a promise he made to himself after watching a aftermovie in 2012. Alwyn has attended every edition of Tomorrowland since 2014 and finally had the opportunity to introduce his sister to the festival this year. Tomorrowland has become more than just a music festival for Alwyn; it’s his family and his home.

Veronika: Veronika, originally from Kharkiv, Ukraine, sought refuge in Belgium after her city was severely bombed during the Russian invasion in March 2022. She was joined by her friend Mykola, and together they embarked on a journey of recovery and resilience. Both passionate electronic music lovers, they volunteered in the festival’s recycle team, demonstrating the healing power of music and the escape Tomorrowland provides from life’s challenges.

We Are Tomorrow‘ is an emotional testament to the magic of Tomorrowland and the profound impact it has on the lives of its attendees. The documentary invites viewers to share in the experiences of these remarkable individuals, highlighting the festival’s unique ability to connect and inspire people from all corners of the globe.
