Underworld drop new single ‘denver luna’: Listen

Underworld has unveiled their latest musical offering, “Denver Luna,” complete with a captivating visual accompaniment. This fully-realized 8-minute rendition of the track, a departure from last month’s acapella version, showcases the artistic evolution of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith.

Denver Luna” is a high-energy electronic journey, pulsating at 134 BPM, characterized by relentless kick drums, crashing hi-hats, and euphoric pads, reminiscent of their iconic work like “Born Slippy (Nuxx).” This release comes on the heels of Underworld’s earlier 2023 offering, “and the colour red,” which made its debut at a live performance in Bristol this May. Other fresh tracks like “Gene Pool” and “Strawberry Hotel” were also introduced to their audience.

The single “Denver Luna” and its official instrumental version are now available for purchase on vinyl as part of the Denver Luna Limited Drop, a notable contrast to the acapella teaser released last month. Underworld’s last full-length album, “Drift Series 1,” dates back to 2019, concluding their ambitious 12-month Drift project, which featured weekly releases of new music and collaborative visuals. This latest release once again showcases Underworld prowess in pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
