Phonica Records, the legendary record store located in London, has revealed new information regarding their 20th anniversary compilation featuring some extremely interesting artists.

In a landscape overtaken by streaming platforms and digital shops, record stores present a breath of fresh air. Some electronic music enthusiasts are collectors, slowly but maturely building up their vinyl collection. Sometimes, the feeling of having discs or pieces of vinyl is more satisfactory than a digital collection of tracks. Phonica Records, located in London, has been serving all kinds of customers for the past 20 years and they are celebrating the occasion with a brand-new compilation. It marks the follow-up to the 2013 compilation Ten Years Of Phonica.

For this compilation, Phonica Records enlisted some of their favorite producers featuring the highest-ranked female DJ in the world according to DJ Mag Peggy GouDaniel AveryTim Reaper & Comfort Zone, and much more. Totaling 41 tracks, the compilation features some immense contributions from the aforementioned Daniel Avery who chimed in with BellDam Swindle’s Allright (Just A Tribute), Art Crime’s Obsession, and so much more. Of those 41 tracks, 18 are brand new  from both established and on-the-rise producers. Bell, Allright (Just A Tribute), and Tim Reaper & Comfort Zone’s Subterranean are available to stream via Bandcamp for free. Some other artists on the compilation include NyraToby TobiasKeisuke, and many more.

Phonica Records was originally founded by Simon Rigg, Tom Relleen and Heidi van den Amstel back in 2003 when the electronic music scene was slowly on the rise and when many record stores were straight up closing. It is genuinely great to see that some record stores are still walking with their chin up high, especially in the modern digital environment. 20 Years Of Phonica is available to pre-order, both digitally and on 3xCD, four limited 12″ vinyl samples. You can pre-order the compilation here or buy it when it drops on December 1st.
