International Music Summit Ibiza reveals new destination for 15th edition in 2024

In collaboration with AlphaTheta, IMS Ibiza, the groundbreaking platform at the crossroads of culture, education, industry, and wellness in electronic music, unveils its plans for the fifteenth edition of the summit. Breaking tradition, the summit will take place at the recently inaugurated Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza hotels, nestled in the serene Cala Llonga. Spanning both venues, the curated programming promises an immersive experience for attendees.

The exclusive privatization of both hotels aims to create an intimate atmosphere conducive to networking and productive summit discussions. The hotels share amenities such as bars, restaurants, and pool areas with direct beach access. Situated just a 10-minute drive or a 15-minute ferry ride from Ibiza Town, this inspiring venue overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The picturesque setting is framed by pine-clad hills, promising breathtaking sunrises and nature walks to complement the dynamic summit agenda.

NINJA TUNE: UNCOVERING THE MAGIC BEHIND AN INDEPENDENT LEGEND

IMS will host a session titled “Ninja Tune: Unveiling The Wizardry Behind One Of Electronic Music’s Greatest Independent Labels.” Visionary co-founder Matt Black will delve into the label’s rich history, shedding light on the secrets behind its success and Coldcut’s vision for an inclusive, artist-led label rooted in the ‘80s London warehouse scene. The discussion will explore Ninja Tune’s current impact on the industry through its diverse roster across 7+ sub-labels.

TOMORROWLAND: TWO DECADES OF INNOVATION

Founder Michiel Beers will deliver a rare keynote speech in “Tomorrowland: 20 Years of Innovation”. Michiel will provide insights into the festival’s remarkable evolution. Beyond the festival’s journey, Michiel will highlight the impactful Tomorrowland Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to supporting vulnerable children through the establishment of music and art schools.

IMS Ibiza will present “Amplifying Amapiano: The Journey of a Genre From The Township to the Global Stage.” Tracing its roots from South African townships to its global ascent. The discussion will unravel the cultural influence of Amapiano, marking its empowering impact on the global music industry.
