Mia Moretti has been a force in the art and music world for years, crafting the soundtrack to nightlife and prestigious fashion events across America. Now she delivers her first EP of originals, showcasing a South American influence that is infectious and deep with passion and inspiration.

With an imposing resume, including DJ sets at Dua Lipa’s MET afterparty and a coveted spot providing the soundtrack to the BARBIE movie opening, Mia Moretti may not be a household name, but she is on most A-listers A-list. While she honed her craft DJing with vinyl records at the iconic Standard Hotel in Hollywood, CA, her musical storytelling has only improved and grown in the years since. Now she is looking to craft her sonic niche, releasing original productions that will define major events and grip audiences worldwide.

Inspired by a trip to Colombia, Mia Moretti fell in love with the rhythms and vocal presence of the music in the region and decided to craft a collection of originals based on the style. Featuring the voices of Totó La Momposina and Petrona Martinez, Tambor is a powerful expression of music, passion, and joy that redefines what dance music can achieve. Discussing the release, Moretti states:

“Through my travels, I discover musicians, sounds and genres that I may not have otherwise,” said Moretti. “While in Colombia earlier this year, I met and fell in love with bullerengue. I was transfixed by the way the voices on these records commanded the music. I was very lucky to find some of these rare records, they led me down a long, beautiful path that eventually became this EP.”

The three tracks crafted for Tambor, Piano de la Selva, Rosa, and Tambor, all display a strong connection to the South American rhythms from which Mia Moretti drew inspiration while welcoming listeners from around the globe to digest the spirit of the music. Check out the new Tambor EP out now.
