Alongside making all possible headlines as a part of the fan-named Pangbourne House Mafia together with Skrillex and Fred Again, Four Tet has been actively spending time in the studio where he is cooking up a brand new album, and his brand new track Loved is the first single off of it.

Four Tet has always been a massively underrated producer. Since coming on to the scene in the 90s, Kieran Hebden has achieved so much, as highlighted by his 12 studio albums and numerous exhilarating singles. His first album, Dialogue, dates back to the already distant 1999. In a recent Instagram post, Four Tet shared the artwork for Loved, which is the title of the first single off of his upcoming 13th album, which we’re yet to know the name of. The artwork came to life thanks to Jason Evans, a truly brilliant artist.

Loved radiates with love and positivity, hence the name of the track. It is a soothing and calming downtempo production. Four Tet even managed to find space for some unusual sounds, as manifested halfway through the track where he incorporated explosion sounds, which makes Loved so much more immersive and interesting to listen to. What makes the track so effervescent and jubilant sounding is the exquisite piano which glides flawlessly from the very first second of the track. If the rest of the album will sound like Loved does, we are in for a real treat.

Even though Four Tet has been around for more than 2 decades, last year was the year where he truly ascended to the upper echelons of dance music. Thanks to his unwavering friendship with the electronic music titan Skrillex and the creative hotshot that is Fred Again, the trio toured around the world. Delivering memorable performances and even dropping one of the tracks of the year in the form of Baby Again.. (which is a part of our top 99 tracks of 2023 list), 2023 was a milestone year for the fan-named Pangbourne House Mafia. And don’t get me started on their Coachella headlining set which is most people’s favorite show of 2023. All in all, Four Tet is not slowing down. We will keep you updated once we’ll know more about his exciting new album. Until then, check out Loved down below or on your favorite streaming platform.
