Ever since MSG announced plans to build the Sphere in Las Vegas, the entire music industry has been consumed by the structure’s advanced technology, and unbelievable visuals. This week, a local resident made headlines when he decided to climb the new structure.

Ever since The Sphere first ‘woke up’ in the summer of 2023, it has garnered the attention of the entertainment industry as its stunning outer shell and seamless video light up the Vegas skyline while inside, fans are treated to world-class entertainment with U2 delivering the venue’s first artist residency. Las Vegas never has a dull moment as it is built for excitement and wonder, and now the eyes of the world once again are focused on the Nevada desert city as the Super Bowl will take place there this upcoming weekend. Amidst all the fanfare and fervor, a local man by the name of Maison DesChamps, opted to climb the outside of the venue in what was deemed a publicity stunt in the name of the pro-life nonprofit organization, Let Them Live.

The organization released this statement ahead of the upcoming football game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs: “While half a million football fans arrive in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII, DesChamps wants to shake the public into caring about the fate of unborn children in our country.” Des Champs is no stranger to these stunts as he was arrested back in 2021 for climbing the ARIA Resorts & Casino building. He is currently in custody in Las Vegas where he awaits sentencing.
