Marshmello and Svdden Death team for new single ‘Triumphant’: Listen
Marshmello has recently come out and said he’s done with pop for now, and he plans to return to truer EDM form. Staying true to his comments, Marshmello continues with his ‘Mellodeath’ partner Svdden Death to release another collaboration titled ‘Triumphant’.
Marshmello, having recently announced a partnered tour with Svdden Death (the Mellodeath tour), releases his third collaboration with the Dubstep artist. Following the pair’s 2 previous tracks ‘Crusade’ and ‘Ceremony’, ‘Triumphant’ brings the familiar Marhmello synths to Svdden Death’s deep and dark basses. Despite Marshmello moving towards a more Dubstep-orientated sound with Svdden Death, the new track has a lot to offer fans who enjoyed the more mellow sound of Marshmello’s previous pop tracks. Including vocal chops and inspiring use of elevating background vocals, the track is one that is sure to appeal to all kinds of EDM fans and is sure to find its way onto many different artists’ retinue during the next circuit of festivals and surprise fans of any genre.
Marshmellow recently took to X (previously Twitter) to announce he was leaving pop behind to go back to his EDM roots:
“Pop was cool for a bit but I’m back in my EDM era.”
With all the recent collaborations with Svdden Death, the announcement of the Mellodeath tour, and most shockingly, Marshmello’s surprise guest appearance at Excision’s Thunderdome stop on his Nexus tour to DJ alongside Excision and Svdden Death shows that the artist is sticking true to his word. The EDM world can be sure that Marshmello’s transition back into EDM and his partnership with the Dubstep world is sure to introduce a wider audience to the heavy basses of Dubstep and could lead the way to many genre-bending partnerships to come in the world of EDM.
