Eliminate – “Get Off The InternetEP

Eliminate, unveils his much-anticipated debut album, Get Off The Internet. In what only can be described as a genre in and of itself, Eliminate takes us on a wild and whimsical exploration of ridiculously mutated samples and sonic experiments, creating a truly unique offering forged in the most bizarre corner’s of the internet. Taking flavors from dubstep to hyperpop, hardstyle to pop, the album brings a refreshing, rebellious energy that breaks the norms of EDM today.

“EGOTRIP” turns up the heat with an electrifying buildup that dives into a trap-heavy sequence of vocal cuts and crisp percussion. This is followed by “SMSOU,” a collaboration with Frost Children that has sexy vocals and had-hitting house components. In “Get Off The Internet,” Eliminate & fussy create an infectious anthem with Skrillex-esque flair, using zesty lines like “Hey stupid idiot, get off of the internet”, which simply refuse to leave your brain. Eliminate’s “heart.EXE” adds a beautiful balance of drum & bass and color bass to the album. Then “comecloser” throws down a barrage of bass house reminiscent to the likes of JOYRYDE.

Embarking into the second half of the LP, “MOREPWR” has a name fit for its sound. The track begins with a revving car engine, paving the way for a healthy dose of sonic experimentation that will leave listeners speechless. Altogether, Get Off The Internet is not only a musical spectacle, but an inspiring beacon for listeners and artists alike to challenge themselves and push the boundaries through experimentation. Eliminate will get to perform pieces of this auditory marvel at Red Rocks Amphitheater for Ganja White Night’s annual Wobble Rocks in May, in addition to his other upcoming touring endeavors across 2024.

Silverstein & Fairlane – “Take It Back

Rock icons Silverstein have teamed up with fellow Canadian and superstar dubstep artist Fairlane on their debut collaborative single, “Take It Back” via Monstercat Uncaged. This live-electronic hybrid anthem bridges the worlds of rock and bass music together, paving the way for the future of both spaces. It features powerful vocals from Silverstein’s lead singer Shane Told, guitar shredding, drum solos, and a deafening drop.  Backed by a gripping lyrical message, this heavy metal-dubstep track also led to a viral clip of Fairlane playing “Take It Back” live, resulting in so much headbanging that the venue’s rail was broken.

With his project being immensely inspired by the early 2000s punk rock era of music, Fairlane has expertly catered the production in “Take It Back” to fit the infectious voice of Silverstein’s lead singer, Shane Told. The track opens with a beautifully crafted fusion of synths and echoes, giving way for Shane’s vocals to take center stage. Reflecting powerful feelings of regret, Shane sings out “I can’t take it back,” as the song dives into a riveting melodic bass drop fueled by guitar notes and crisp drums. Cranking up the energy in the second half of the anthem, Shane’s invigorating screams build anticipation until the instrumental suddenly breaks out into a deafening progression of heavy dubstep. Following this unleashing of mosh pit-inducing riddim, “Take It Back” closes out with a sequence that is sonically reminiscent of its beginning, bringing its audience on an intense yet introspective journey.

Josh Teed – “Just Breathe

Denver-based experimental bass producer and violinist Josh Teed has made a name for himself through his distinct approach to electronic music. Now, following the release of his 2022 full-length album Recurring Dream and subsequent remix album, Josh Teed is revving up towards his next EP, Taking It All In – a 6-track package being released via The Gradient Perspective Records.

Filled to the brim with cinematic electronic stylings and Teed’s signature bass production, the artist designed his new EP to be a reflection of his life journey thus far. Having grown up in New Hampshire, lived in Vietnam as a basketball player and coach, and then entered the music industry as a bass music disruptor, Taking It All In represents a rumination on life’s twists and turns – and acts a reminder to cherish every moment and embrace whatever might come your way. Today, Josh Teed unveils the EP’s lead single, “Just Breathe,” a collaboration with rapper Chuuwee and vocalist Blūm. Replete with dreamy textures, playful instrumentation, and striking vocal performances, “Just Breathe” combines Josh Teed’s hazy, atmospheric essence with a dose of hip-hop swagger.

Inspired by the whirlwind pace of Josh Teed’s last tour, “Just Breathe” is a reminder about the importance of stillness and taking a second to breathe, delivering this message through the song’s structure. The track starts with wonky synth pads mixed with soulful keyboard chords and piano melodies before phasing in an off-kilter boom-bap hip-hop beat underneath Chuuwee’s rapid-fire intro verse. With an instrumental filled with plucky synth notes and deep bass accompanying Chuuwee’s buttery flow, the first section of “Just Breathe” represents a sudden rush burst. Then, Blūm’s angelic vocals float on top of heavenly piano playing, which embodies the act of breathing. Finally, in the track’s final section, layers of futuristic synths, chopped-up 808s, and intricate drum programming combine in a cacophony of elements that wash over the listener, reflecting the reprieve of relaxation.
