CamelPhat are one of the most powerful duos in the landscape of contemporary electronic dance music. They’ve already made waves in a few different genres, showing that they can move in various ecosystems, but it’s melodic techno where they’ve held their own. Their stellar reputation behind the decks can only be dethroned by their studio work, which never disappoints.

In September last year, after some waiting, the Liverpool duo released their album ‘Spiritual Milk’. Composed of 16 tracks, this album includes, like its predecessor, a vast list of heavyweight collaborations, such as RHODES, Anyma, Kölsch, London Grammar and many more. Now comes the first collection of remixes, for which CamelPhat have recruited another panoply of music titans. ‘Spiritual Milk (The Remixes)‘ is available now via When Stars Align, coming out just a week after the release of the remix of ‘Home‘ by Vintage Culture.

The Italian Ivory makes his contribution by offering a psychedelic version of ‘Love Is Something‘ by CamelPhat and Jake Bugg. Respecting the cadence of the incredible vocal, Ivory injects a series of new elements that make this track more danceable and underground. Arodes and Josh Gigante join forces to give ‘Turning Stones’ a twist. The result is a more dynamic and progressive narrative that offers depth and a sensual rhythm that makes you want to melt on the dancefloor. ‘What A Day’ with Delilah Montagu gets a new rendition by Sideral, who manages to take the calm and melancholy of the original version and give it a new pace. Feelings prevail, but at a warm, spicy rhythm that makes you want to dance. Finally, there’s the rendition of ‘In Your Eyes’ by fast-rising American star KILL SCRIPT. With the low ends in full force, this is the darkest and heaviest remix of this first collection. Taking the melodic essence of CamelPhat, he’s given it a cinematic techno spin capable of shaking up any festival or club.

There’s no doubt that CamelPhat gathered an amazing list of producers to give a new spin on their ‘Spiritual Milk’ album. They’ve all managed to take the essence of the original tracks and make them dancefloor-ready. It also represents a significant addition to his surging imprint’s catalogue.
