David Guetta and Morten continue Future Rave sound with ‘The Future Is Now/ The Truth’: Listen

While David Guetta seems to lack endless energy and creativity in his output and inspiration within the electronic music community, his work alongside Morten has been amongst his most inspiring output. Now the two FutureRave producers have come together for two brand new anthems just in time for festival season.

It is hard to put into words the lasting impact that David Guetta has had on dance music as he continues to explore new sounds and styles while shattering records and reaching new heights for DJs and producers. One of the most crucial and exciting decisions throughout his storied career was his decision to join forces with Morten and forge a new path forward under the banner of FutureRave. With a catalog of massive hits and a continuing summer residency on the island of Ibiza, the two producers shaped a sound and style that has shown to be a major hit with fans around the world.

Now David Guetta and Morten continue that legacy by releasing a brand new, two-track EP featuring the singles The Future Is Now and The Truth. The first track opens with a simple lead, but one that engages the listeners and drags them along as it evolves and builds towards the full power of the track. Guetta and Morten have always had a keen ear for slick leads, and The Future Is Now is another prime example of the legacy they have been building together in recent years. Layered with a female voice delivering the track’s title, the two producers continue to lead the way into the future.

The second track, simply titled The Truth, continues to play upon the future imagery but is a more bass-focused production. After a brief introduction, the percussion and bass fill the speakers, delivering a heavy drop that will no doubt be a part of the duo’s live sets for the foreseeable future. As both David Guetta and Morten continue to dazzle as solo acts, their combined works push boundaries and provide a fun outlet for both producers.
