IMS Ibiza 2024: what to expect from this year’s conference

Home #Ibiza IMS Ibiza 2024: what to expect from this year’s conference

A new venue, world class speakers, engaging conference topics and unmissable events are in store for attendees of this year’s International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza.

In just one month, the International Music Summit (IMS) returns to its home of Ibiza in its new destination for the 15th anniversary from 24-26 April. This year, the IMS will be hosted at the Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza hotels with its programme splitting between the two venues, overlooking the waters of Cala Llonga. Aside from an enticing new venue, its programme offers up engaging topics/events and key speakers from industry professionals.

“IMS continues with our third and most important edition since the pandemic, but also our 15th event in Ibiza. Now that the industry has (mostly) enjoyed its bounce-back, this is the real test of stability as consumer habits settle down. It is also a moment where global events have impacted the unity of our scene, presenting many with challenging decisions to make. IMS also moves to a new property in Cala Llonga, a stunning part of our magical island that is now home to the new Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza hotels, and now IMS. We can’t wait to host everybody again and continue to help set and drive the conversation.”

This year, speakers include top professionals in the business such as The Pacha Group & FIVE‘s CEO Aloki Batra, Tomorrowland founder Michiel Beers, Simon Dunmore and Wez Saunders of Defected Records and Ninja TunesTess Kendall and Matt Black. Of course, this is just a taster of who attendees can expect to hear from, all hosted by none other than Pete Tong. From this, we can expect to hear talks on topics such as ’25 years of Defected: life after an acquisition,’ ‘Tomorrowland: 20 years of innovation,’ ‘How to bring back peace, love unity & respect,’ ‘Everything you need to know about distribution’ and much more. Balancing topics of business, how to break into the scene as a producer, market focuses on different areas and more, IMS Ibiza offers the rare chance to hear directly from the biggest names in business. A major part of this event is also the IMS Business Report , which will debut soon.

Not just business professionals, we can also expect to hear from the people who make the music, the DJs themselves. Madame Gandhi, Mochakk and DJ Paulette will feature within panels.

Not just all business and no play, at night is where IMS turns into the party capital. Serving up some world class sets during the seven-hour closing celebration at World UNESCO Heritage Site and former fort Dalt Vila, this has become an iconic event within itself, and for good reason.

This year, sets from the likes of Franky Wah, Pete Tong, Sasha, Artche, Miss Monique, Jaguar and many more will take place from 5pm-midnight on Friday 26 April, giving IMS Ibiza 2024 a suitable sendoff. To buy tickets for this specific event, click here.

A hugely important part of the electronic music scene yearly, IMS Ibiza’s 2024 edition promises to be as packed as ever, with a diverse lineup of topics, professionals, DJs and events. To view the full programme and to get tickets, visit their website here.
