Continuing their long-standing and successful musical relationship, Martin Garrix and DubVision used their unwavering chemistry on Empty, featuring Jaimes, which is a stellar conclusion to Martin’s incredible IDEM EP.

It is still insane to think that Martin Garrix and DubVision have been sharing studio spaces for over 10 years. Ever since Spinnin’ Records dropped Martin’s already legendary edit of DubVision’s Backlash in 2014, the trio has enjoyed envious success over the years. From the DubVision remix of Martin Garrix’s No Sleep and Hero to the trio’s most famous work in the form of Starlight with Shaun Farrugia, it is evident that the creative spark is still lit the same way as those distant 10 years ago. Empty alongside Jaimes, who is one of the biggest talents in songwriting right now, is another jewel in the long-lasting cooperation between the 3 Dutchmen.

Uplifting and silky, Empty embodies the aforementioned musical chemistry between Martin Garrix and DubVision perfectly. It stands as a testament to the unparalleled creativity few can dare to reach, let alone achieve. Jaimes’ exquisite vocals add a fresh twist to the already expertly crafted production. The distinctive production styles of the trio are more than enough to create another incredible addition to the realm of festival progressive house. Being played in most Martin Garrix and DubVision shows throughout 2023 and 2024, Empty successfully etches its incredible melody into the thoughts of listeners and fans alike.

As mentioned above, Empty serves as a finale of the long-anticipated IDEM EP by Martin Garrix. The EP also contains one of the most-anticipated Garrix IDs of all time in the form of Carry You alongside Third Party, Oaks, and Declan J. Donovan, the cute future house production Breakaway together with Mesto and WILHELM, and his monumental Ultra Miami 2023 intro ID Biochemical with Seth Hills. It’s expected that these 4 tracks will still find a way into the tracklists of Martin Garrix sets in 2024 and beyond. While we eagerly await what the mercurial Dutchman has in store for us for his Ultra Miami headline set on the 23rd of March, you can check out Empty down below or on your favorite streaming platform.
