Sir Adam: the ultimate hotel in Amsterdam for music lovers

Home Editorials Sir Adam: the ultimate hotel in Amsterdam for music lovers

Sparing no details when it comes to guest experience, Sir Adam is one of the most unique hotels in the heart of Amsterdam.

Situated within the iconic tourist hotspot of A’DAM Tower is Sir Adam. Having opened in 2017, it has been an eye-catching place to stay for visitors to the city ever since and it isn’t hard to see why. With its prime location right next to the Central train station, it is at the top of our list when it comes to staying in the Netherlands, and we were there to check it all out.

The most striking aspect of the hotel when you walk in is the cool, fashionable and slightly edgy decor. Made for the modern traveller (even the elevators have disco balls), its cool aura will make any music lover feel as though they’ve stepped into a paradise. From when you check in, you are invited to hand select the soundtrack for your stay in what is one of the most unique details that truly sets Sir Adam apart from the rest. The vinyl library allows you to choose records, of which you’re spoiled for choice, to take up to your room, which is also fitted with a vinyl player.

Of course, the rooms are some of the most important aspects of any hotel, and this is where Sir Adam truly shines in comfort and class. Designed with more in mind than just a place to lay your head, no matter what type of room you choose, you’re guaranteed great views, world-class comfort and are surrounded by industrial-chic decor that ties the modern feel together perfectly. With a pillow menu and 300-thread-count linens, Sir Adam spares no expense or detail to ensure its guests feel as though they’re staying in a home away from home. With music and art at the forefront, you’ll find decor such as vintage guitars, art of musical icons and bluetooth record players, giving guests the needed tools to entertain themselves.

Of course, it isn’t just the rooms that are also designed with entertainment and comfort in mind, and the more we explored the hotel, the more we found to do. The hotel, although situated within the first eight floors of the A’DAM Hotel, offers a rooftop bar experience called the Forbidden Garden which offers sweeping panoramic views of Amsterdam, with a picturesque, laid-back social vibe perfect for groups of friends. Back downstairs in The Hub, this is where creative locals and visitors alike combine in one social space, to grab a quick beer or to hang out and meet new people. Also on this floor includes the culinary delight that is THE BUTCHER Social Club. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and last-night cravings can all be found here (or through room service) with everything from smash burgers to salads, sharing platters to desserts and a host of drinks from smoothies to cocktails and everything in between.
