Rising through the ranks of the electronic music industry, Alan Walker built a dedicated fanbase through his infectious music and iconic half-face mask. This weekend the Norwegian DJ stepped on stage without his signature facial wear for the first time.

Over the weekend, Alan Walker took to the LIV Stage at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas for a packed room full of fans, tourists, and those just looking to have a good time in Sin City. Those who have followed Walker throughout his career immediately noticed that this night was unlike any other in the producer’s storied career. When he got to the stage. he was without his face mask, an element of his live shows that has been a defining characteristic of his public persona. While he has yet to expand upon the motivation beyond the decision, he did reveal he would do so the day before he began his LIV Residency. Taking to X/Twitter, Walker stated, ‘Stoked to announce my Vegas Residency at LIV! Get ready to experience the music like never before, as I hit the stage unmasked for the first time ever on Saturday, April 27th!’

The maskless DJ set from Alan Walker was obviously intriguing for fans throughout the electronic music space, but he also had the opportunity to share some new music as well. While on stage, he debuted Unsure, his new single alongside singer and actress Kylie Cantrall. The track is set to drop on May 2nd it continues to see Walker deliver infectious, vocal dance anthems.
