As the only show of the year under their alias Anti Up, Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo brought the British club scene to Coachella 2024 for an unforgettable performance.

Beginning the roll-out of the next phase of their project, Anti Up, Chris Lake and Chris Lorenzo, turned the Mojave stage into a dance floor as they presented all new music and new stage production. In a set literally years in the making, Anti Up showed the crowd of Coachella 2024 just how infectious British house music can be, and this project will be one that people talk about for years to come.

Premiering the music on their upcoming album for the first time live, you could see why it took Lorenzo and Lake years to perfect this project to the point of releasing a full-length body of work. That attention to detail bled over into the stage selection at Coachella too, as Lake and Lorenzo stated in an Instagram post that they chose not to play the Sahara Tent (as most dance acts do) but instead play on the Mojave stage so they could create the correct atmosphere they had envisioned with this style of music. And it paid off.

With a tremendous reaction from the crowd, the premiere of Anti Up was a massive success that was a rightful closer to the stage on Friday night. The stage setup resembled an underground setting with the words “Keep Calm? Says Who. Anti Up” spray painted across the setup. The entire performance was filled with an impressive amount of IDs, many of which will most likely be a part of the album. The set, from beginning to end, never lost an ounce of energy.

Anti Up gave an experience unlike anything we have seen this year. The attention to detail from every part of the set was incredible, and the passion you could see from Lake and Lorenzo on stage was infectious. This set symbolized the start of a new era. This was more than just a show, it was a statement.
