As one of the most revered festivals taking place every year, Coachella not only attracts thousands of fans to the California desert but also to unique digital spaces. The iconic event will once again appear in Fortnite with some exciting new updates and music.

With the gates a few days away from opening for the 2024 edition of Coachella, fans are now able to explore the digital event via the Fortnite platform. Taking to social media, the event announced that a new experience titled Sahara Island was built into the game modeled after the festival layout. Looking to increase fan interaction and offerings, the newly built land will feature items and outfits inspired by past Coachella events. There will also be a Fortnite Festival Jam Stage where players can take the stage themselves and perform Jam Track from festival artists.

Adding to the digital landscape will be the music of Grimes which will serve as the soundtrack to the new land. With her recent foray into Artificial Intelligence, she has been at the forefront of combining digital technology with human experience. This new expansion offers a great opportunity for music fans and those who appreciate Coachella to experience some of the music and art in the Fortnite environment.
