Edging ever closer to the 2024 edition of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, often referred to simply as Coachella, attendees from all around the world are preparing to embark on the most memorable of musical journeys, courtesy of some of the biggest acts in the entertainment industry. Boasting a lineup that sees headliners Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat ready to bring the heat at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, it is fair to say, that festival goers are in for a treat once again.

A festival highly-regarded as the elite, the variation of acts, combined with the jaw-dropping stages, make Coachella a standout event each year. With electronic music also represented distinctively, the likes of Steve Angelo, Anyma, DJ Snake, John Summit, Dom Dolla, Eric Prydz, Peggy Gou, Charlotte De Witte and Purple Disco Machine, are a mere few that will be performing at this year’s Coachella, and we are of course, all for it.

Taking place during the weekends of the 12th, 13th, 14th and 19th, 20th, 21st of April, Coachella promises to be one for the books, but how much does it actually cost to attend an event of such stature?   • Festival Passes

Securing the coveted Coachella pass always comes at quite a hefty price tag, giving of course the scale of this event. Here is a breakdown of each Tier and the according price;

General Admission (GA Passes) Tier 1 – $499 + Fees, Tier 2 – $549 + Fees, Tier 3 – $599 + Fees.

General Admission + Shuttle Tier 1 – $619 + Fees, Tier 2 – $669 + Fees, Tier 3 – $719 + Fees.

VIP Passes Tier 1 – $1069+ Fees, Tier 2 – $1269 + Fees.

  • Accommodation

The stay at Coachella varies depending on each individual and their preferences. Hotels and Airbnb’s attract the largest amount of visitors during both weekends of Coachella, with prices for each reaching higher levels than usual, due to the increased traffic. Additionally, Coachella itself offers various Camping packages, with the prices being as follows;

Tent Camping – $149 + TOT + Fees

Car Camping – $149 + TOT + Fees

Preferred Car Camping – $375 + TOT + Fees

  • Transport

Getting to and from the festival always varies depending on the travel required for each individual. With festival goers attending from all around the world, we have to take into consideration the flights, public transport and of course the different means to arrive at the festival, once In California. Prices for each cannot be be determined to an exact figure, however, specific transport amenities are priced as follows;

Any Line Shuttle Pass – $140 + Fees

Preferred Parking – $249 + Fees

Camping Companion Parking – $199 + TOT + Fees

  • Food & Beverages

Coming at the most premium of prices, food and beverages at Coachella vary depending on the wide range of choices, with festival goers tempted to spend amounts that are highly above the rates that you would normally get when outside the festival. Adding to the expense related to food and beverages, Coachella also offer the Outstanding in the Field add-on, where a four-course meal can be enjoyed at the VIP Rose Garden, for a cost of $350 + Fees.

A costly event to say the least, we have touched upon the main elements that surround the cost of Coachella, however, the overall expanse of attending can be a highly subjective matter, with each individual spending in accordance to their financial means, their individual priorities and of course, their personal preferences.
