Coachella 2024 tickets: What and where?

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is getting dangerously close. It’s a well-known fact that after Ultra Miami, all the other festivals start to appear on the calendar, giving life to the wild and irresistible festival season. One of the most popular and coveted festivals on American soil is undoubtedly Coachella. And why is that? For everything and for the mystique that surrounds it.

The desert landscape of the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California, is filled with colour and music for two of the West Coast’s most charismatic weekends. This year’s edition takes place over the weekend of 12-14 April and the weekend of 19-21 April. So it’s time to pick out your best outfits (yes, Coachella is a festival fashion epicentre), pack your bags and set sail. Unless, of course, you’ve taken no precautions and are still looking for a ticket. In that case, read this article before you go.

Where to buy?

The first place to look for tickets is, of course, the official Coachella website. There you’ll find the different types of tickets, including the shuttle option, camping and add-ons, but we’re going to focus on the general admission ticket. Tickets are valid for the three days of the weekend they correspond to. The General Admission ticket is only available on the official website for weekend 2, but you can join the waiting list for the first weekend.

GA prices started at $499 + fees in tier 1 and closed at $599 + fees. VIP tickets also sold out for the first weekend, were sold in two tiers for $1,069 and $1,269 + fees. Anything is still possible for weekend 2. On the Coachella website you can still (if you’re quick) buy a GA ticket from $499 + fees and a VIP ticket from $1,069 + fees.

However, if all you wanted was to be able to go on the first weekend, all hope is not lost. Many websites, such as Billboard, have listed some resale sites where you can try your luck, and at very different prices. Vivid Seats promises you the chance to buy weekend 1 tickets for $416 for GA and $812 for VIP. Over on StubHub, GA tickets for both weekends start at $330. Keep in mind that these are resale tickets, with all that entails.
