DANNIC returns to Revealed Recordings with heartfelt single, ‘The Reason’: Listen

Returning to the place where he began his career, DANNIC is back at Revealed Recordings with a euphoric and personal new progressive house single with Dyson, ‘The Reason.’

The best memories are always made at home. It’s where we feel most comfortable and a huge piece of who we all are as individuals. You could easily say that this notion is the case for Dutch producer DANNIC as he makes his grand return to the label where his career started, Revealed Recordings, and to celebrate this occasion, he has just released his newest track with Dyson, ‘The Reason,’ a euphoric progressive anthem that will fill your heart with joy and leave a smile on your face.

People have been waiting for the resurgence of what was considered the “golden age” of electronic music, in which many progressive classics were released. The good news is that you no longer have to wonder when it is coming because the new progressive era is here, and DANNIC’s ‘The Reason’ is the perfect example of that. This track contains so much passion and emotion from the first second to the last. It’s not hard to see that this moment and this song means a lot to the man from Breda.

The track itself is one of the best that DANNIC has ever created, and while it might be sonically different than most things currently on Revealed Recordings, it feels like it is right at home. There are many things to love about ‘The Reason,’ starting with the vocals of Dyson. DANNIC has stated that while creating this track, he instantly knew that the UK native would be the perfect voice, and it’s not hard to see why. The power in her voice is what truly gives this track its triumphant nature, and you find yourself hanging on every single word that she sings. The lyric writing is phenomenal and is easily able to tell the story. And the juice of the track comes in the hook, which is by far one of the best things that have been written in 2024 and will be no shock if it gets stuck in your head.

The other thing that stands out in ‘The Reason’ is the chord progressions. In order to have a progressive house anthem, the core of the track is a perfect chord progression, and DANNIC found the right fit. It’s fresh but at the same time, gives you that nostalgic feeling. The synths sound incredible and are layered to perfection. You can hear the passion behind the track just by listening to them.
