Like the two legends they are, Justice returned to the desert for Coachella 2024 and debuted their new live show that became the talk of the weekend.

Electronic music took Coachella by storm this past weekend as countless DJs delivered shows that stood above the rest. However, there was one duo that seemed to create more buzz across the festival grounds than any other act. Kicking off their five-month tour, Justice became undoubtedly the winners of the first weekend of Coachella 2024 as they presented their new show production for their upcoming album Hyperdrama.’

With their undeniable stage presence, the French duo closed out the Outdoor stage on Friday with one of their best performances to date. The show was an electronic music fan’s dream and left many in the crowd speechless when the house lights came on. With a lot of expectations surrounding the new album and tour, many wondered how Justice would be able to top all the brilliant things they have done before. But that is why they have become the icons that they are. The two continually find ways to up their game each time out and give crowds an experience they have never seen before.

The new stage design for Coachella was unbelievable. The stage consisted of massive light fixtures hanging above the two that moved up and down, a countless number of strobes, multicolored spotlights that sat across the stage and also hung from above, led in which the synths sat on and a giant led panel in the back that was divided into individual squares. Justice showed that they are still at the top of their game as they easily gave one of the most beautiful-looking shows of the entire weekend.

The performance went way beyond just the lights as the music was even more incredible. Opening with their iconic track ‘Genesis’ and then going into their new single ‘Generator,’ Justice debuted a plethora of new IDs from the upcoming album as well as new edits that featured the biggest tracks in their catalog. One ID came at the end of the show in the form of a new collaboration with Tame Impala titled ‘Neverender’ that sent the crowd into a frenzy and was the perfect way to end the night. Although a new production surround them they continued the tradition of facing each other while playing live, and even though we had heard these iconic songs before, they somehow felt new and fresh.

It’s great to see Justice back in full form, and there was no better way to kick off a tour than closing out a stage at Coachella. While the world waits for what feels like what will be a monumental album release, it’s clear that the legendary duo is getting ready to reclaim the throne.
