Kasablanca and Lane 8 reunite to release ‘Remission’: Listen

Kasablanca and Lane 8 have once again crossed paths to deliver their new collaboration ‘Remission,’ out now via Anjunabeats.

Emerging from a brief hiatus from touring and music, melodic techno duo Kasablanca reunites with American producer Lane 8 for their second official collaboration since 2020, teaming up on their latest track ‘Remission.’ The record, a follow-up to their highly successful 2020 collaboration ‘Run,’ made its debut when Lane 8 showcased it during his performance at CRSSD Festival in San Diego in early March. In their first appearance back, Kasablanca also unveiled the track during their performance at Ultra Miami 2024.

‘Remission’ stands as a tribute to Kasablanca frontrunner Micky, who faced a cancer diagnosis during their 2023 headline tour. Despite the formidable challenges, Micky persevered, completing their remaining tour dates before undergoing surgery and chemotherapy. The track embodies the intense emotions of that journey, offering a powerful message of hope. The haunting humanoid vocals, paired with moving lyrics, blend seamlessly with the melodic synths and rich sounds of Kasablanca and Lane 8, creating a deeply moving musical experience.

“While I was going through treatment, I knew that when I was done, I would get to come here and play Ultra Miami with you guys and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I made it here today. I don’t have a clean bill of health yet.
