Porter Robinson officially announces his third album ‘SMILE! :D’

As one of the most beloved and versatile artists in the electronic music world, Porter Robinson has always managed to create intrigue with his every move. Today he has ramped up anticipation for his third full-length album by officially revealing the title, release date, and physical pre-order.

It was just over a month ago that Porter Robinson officially began a new era in his storied career, teasing his upcoming third full-length LP and sharing the new single and music video for Cheerleader. As expected, the internet and the entire dance music scene were immediately caught up in the fervor of the release, analyzing every detail of the music and visuals. At the time, Robinson offered little more information regarding the rest of the project and left fans simply with a sign-up link on his website to receive details regarding the official release.

The wait is finally over as the North Carolina producer has announced that his next album will be titled SMILE! 😀 and will be released on July 26th. The album artwork features an Asian-styled toy depicting Porter Robinson, a model of which was also seen in the Cheerleader music video and is available to pre-order in three separate physical configurations. Aside from the standard jewel case CD and pink double vinyl, there is also a deluxe package encased in a limited carrying case. The deluxe package also includes the pink vinyl variant, one of 2,000 limited lithographs, a lyric and photo book, and an exclusive 7′ single for Cheerleader.
