Sony Music Entertainment (SME) Germany has officially launched their newest electronic music label ‘noted. records.’ Positioned to focus on the electronic and techno scene, the label aims to provide emerging artists with a prominent platform. Spearheading the label’s A&R and strategic direction is Jean-Sebastien Permal, who had the role of Sony Music’s Vice President of A&R for Europe & Africa in December 2020.

Excitingly, Sony Music Entertainment (SME) Germany has officially launched their newest electronic music label noted. records. Situated in Berlin, the label aims to empower artist by providing a platfrom for artists in the electronic and techno scene. The label not only aims to propel their careers forward but also strives to have a lasting cultural impact, according to Sony Music.

Taking charge of noted. records for A&R and strategic initiatives will be Jean-Sebastien Permal, who had the role of Sony Music’s Vice President of A&R for Europe & Africa in December 2020. Sharing his thoughts in a official press release, Permal states:

The report revealed a upsurge in the dance music industry, which increased to a market size of $11.8 billion globally in 2023, marking a substantial 17% year-on-year increase. Sony Music Germany’s track record of taking in electronic artists worldwide shines bright with a stacked roster of artists such as Purple Disco Machine, the platinum and gold-certified composer Avaion, and more.
