One of the most impressive powers of the Swedish House Mafia is the ability for the group’s individual members to shine a light on their shared project. During his Friday night set at Coachella, Steve Angello debuted an incredible new Swedish House Mafia ID.

2023 saw the Swedish House Mafia begin to transition away from their Paradise Again era, releasing two new beautiful singles, Ray Of Solar and See The Light as the trio continued to expand upon their iconic sound. While they have offered nothing new since, the group had promised a forthcoming new album last year and fans are hoping that it will see the light of day in 2024. With no official dates or information currently available, the group has been teasing new music lately both via social media and with their individual live sets. Earlier this month, fans were excited to see the Swedish House Mafia respond to pop superstar Alicia Keys, lending hope that their collaboration may soon see a release date.

The hype for new music was further pushed this past weekend in the California desert when Steve Angello took to the stage for a solo set at this year’s annual Coachella Festival. During his incredible performance, he played cuts from his own catalog as well as iconic Swedish House Mafia tracks to entertain fans both on-site and tuning in via the live stream. Of course, fans and media outlets everywhere were most excited when he debuted what appeared to be a brand new Swedish House Mafia ID. Currently titled Lioness, the pumping single features a hypnotic vocal topline over a massive layer of synths, before the full force of the drop kicks in. Hopefully, fans will receive information soon and the group will finally release new music for their long-anticipated sophomore album.

Until more information arrives, check out a clip of Steve Angello dropping Lioness below.
